Central kitchen spice blends.
Start with a repeatable recipe.
Discuss how Hua Lok’s current Ya Hua spice blend could fit your batch production, ingredient planning and flavour requirements in Singapore.
Consistency starts with a defined batch
When several teams prepare the same dish, a clear recipe helps keep spice usage and flavour comparable. Specify the raw ingredients, spice amount, water volume, preparation method and expected cooked yield. For bak kut teh, validate the recipe in your own equipment before scaling production.
Hua Lok's current packaged Ya Hua blend offers a starting point for this discussion. It is portioned for a home pot; we confirm commercial suitability and supply terms through an enquiry rather than assume it fits every production line.
What to include in your supply enquiry
- The dish and current recipe you want to evaluate.
- Batch size, daily portions and number of outlets served.
- Expected spice usage and ordering frequency.
- Required pack format, delivery schedule and storage constraints.
- Allergen and certification requirements for your customers.
- The preparation or ingredient-waste issue you want to improve.
We will confirm available pack sizes, quantities, pricing and product information. Do not assume a custom blend, food-service pack, certification or delivery commitment is available until confirmed.
Compare usable cost per portion
A cheaper kilogram price is only part of the calculation. Compare the full ingredient cost of each batch with the number of acceptable portions it produces. Include unused ingredients, the blend cost and any change in preparation time.
Keep stock losses separate from production leftovers and plate waste. A spice blend can affect spice handling; it cannot, by itself, correct a production plan that exceeds customer demand.
A practical batch comparison
Run the existing recipe and proposed recipe over comparable operating periods. Record portions served, ingredients used, waste by reason, preparation time and taste acceptance. Compare waste and costs per portion, rather than only total kilograms, because customer volume may change.
If a trial shows a useful improvement, confirm the repeat-order supply arrangement before expanding to other outlets. This is an evaluation method, not a claim that Hua Lok has already delivered a particular saving.
Current product and future development
Outram Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh spice blend is the current flagship product. Chicken rice paste, laksa concentrate, chilli crab sauce, satay marinade and kaya remain in development. Each future product will need confirmed specifications and kitchen trials before commercial promises are made.
Frequently asked questions
Is a bulk or custom spice format available?
Contact Hua Lok with expected usage and format requirements. Current pack sizes, minimum orders, customisation and lead times must be confirmed individually.
Can this replace waste-measurement software?
No. Recipe and ingredient changes address a different part of kitchen operations. Use your existing records or measurement tools to establish whether a change improves results.
How do I discuss a trial?
Send your production brief to Hua Lok. Product suitability, trial scope and commercial terms need to be agreed before proceeding.
